Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge (GAC): Superior Quality Drinking Water Filtration
The GAC Ionicore Us Series based on granular activated carbon cartridges is the ideal solution for those looking for a purer and more pleasant drinking water. Designed for maximum absorption efficiency, these cartridges are critical to dramatically improve the taste and quality of your water.
✨ Main Advantages of US GAC Ionicore Filter
- Chlorine Elimination: Effectively remove bad taste, odor and taste of chlorine from drinking water.
- Maximum Absorption: The optimised design ensures maximum water interaction with the granular activated carbon bed.
- Integrated Post-Filtration: A 20 micron post-filter reduces particulate matter and any coal dust, ensuring crystal clear water.
⚙️ GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) Carbon Filtration Technology
Ionicore US GAC Series cartridges dramatically reduce chlorine odor, color and taste. Their innovative structure ensures that water crosses the entire length of the activated carbon bed.
- Forced Path: Water enters from one end and must travel the entire cartridge before exiting, maximizing contact time and absorption.
- Anti-Channel Design: An internal expansion survey prevents the formation of preferential channels or excluded areas (channeling phenomenon), guaranteeing uniform and complete filtration.
- Added Security: The post-filter is firmly attached to an innovative support, eliminating any potential risk of bypass.
⚠️ Important Warnings for Use
- Water Quality: Do not use the filter where the water is microbiologically hazardous or of unknown quality, unless preceded by adequate upstream disinfection.
- Maintenance: All systems must be maintained according to manufacturer-specific instructions to ensure performance and safety
Installation and Replacement Instructions
Activation (Initial Purge)
A drinking water cartridge may contain a small amount of fine charcoal residue (black powder). To delete them:
- Let the water flow through the filter at maximum pressure and flow rate.
- Keep the water flowing for at least 5 minutes to allow the air and residues present to be completely purged.
Cartridge Change
Replace the cartridge when:
- Filtration capacity is exhausted.
- The water flow becomes too slow (precipitates below 0.7 bar/10 psi).
- In any case, replacement is recommended every 6 months.
