The GAC series cartridges drastically reduce chlorine odor, color and taste in drinking water. The cartridge structure allows water to enter on one side and pass through the entire length of the coal bed before exiting on the other side of the cartridge, while an internal expansion relief minimizes the creation of channels or excluded areas. Before water comes out of the cartridge, a 20 micron post-filter helps remove any coal dust and other particles suspended from the filtered water. The post-filter is permanently fixed to an innovative support that ensures a secure attachment, eliminating any potential loss.
Do not use where the water is microbiologically hazardous or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection upstream and after the system. Certified systems for cyst reduction can be used on disinfected water that may contain filter cysts. All systems must be maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Note: Pollutants removed or reduced by this system are not necessarily in your water.
Activation: A drinking water cartridge may contain fine carbon residues (very fine black powder). It is advisable to let the water flow through the filter at maximum pressure and with maximum flow, for at least 5 minutes to allow the air and residues in the cartridge to be purged.
Cartridge change: When capacity has arrived, or when the flow is too slow (drops below 0.7bar/10psi), every 6 months.
