5-way chrome tap with removable shower with PWP system

The new inhibitor process PWP (Pure Water Process)
 

The PWP process (Pure Water Process) inhibits the release into drinking water of toxic metals such as lead and nickel that may be present in articles of taps.

The innovative PWP process consists of two treatments. The first treatment guarantees the chemical elimination of lead from taps and valves, the second treatment is represented by an electrolytic nickel deposit extremely resistant to corrosion, additives with particular products that do not allow the release of nickel ions in contact with water.
These results were obtained under the most extreme conditions: test on valves at pH=5 and at 82 ºC, as required by NSF 61.
The specially modified Clean Lead depiombatura process, helps to inhibit the dissolution of metals such as Lead, Copper and Zinc in drinking water, the PWP bath completes the work almost completely eliminating the disposal of Nickel Ions.

Main characteristics

1. The tap is printed with Bar st. UNI EN12165 brass CW 617N-M low lead content, as required by D.M.174. In addition, it is subjected to a treatment called PWP (Pure Water Process) that allows a further decrease in lead and nickel release.

2. The body/barrel fittings and couplings for food-grade pipe, are made with Bar UNI EN121165 brass CW 614N-M also low lead. In addition, it is treated with an innovative method called T.E.A. (Ternary Eco Alloy) which replaces the classic deposit of nickel/chromium while also ensuring corrosion resistance and meets the limits imposed by the current International Regulations applied to water intended for human consumption (NSF 61 section z.8).

3. According to D.M. 174 Annex III – Article 5, a food hose is used to eliminate the contact of the purified water with the tap tube and also to have the total separation of water up to the outlet. The pipe we use is the John Guest LLDPE Pipe, certified by the American NSF (NSF51 and NSF61 specifications) and the British Water Authority WRAS.
