Pentair membrane for domestic systems

The best way to assess the overall filtration quality of a reverse osmosis system is to measure the rejection rate, which is the percentage of dissolved solids removed from the feed water. In other words, the higher the rejection rate, the better the membrane performs. The recovery of a reverse osmosis system represents the amount of permeate produced relative to the amount of concentrate discharged. The higher the recovery, the lower the rejection.

Structure

The spiral-wound membrane element consists of one or more membrane windings wrapped around a central perforated tube. The treated water passes through the membrane and is then directed into the permeate collection vessel, whilst all impurities captured in the reject stream remain in the feed channel spacer.

High rejection stability with total dissolved solids (TDS) input

Regardless of the total amount of dissolved solids in the feed water, TLC™ membranes always deliver optimal performance. Rejection remains stable at between 96% and 98%, even at 1000 ppm.

NSF Certification

Pentair TLC membranes are tested and certified by NSF International in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 58, which saves time and money during the OEM’s NSF certification process for the complete reverse osmosis system.
The TLC-100 is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 58, exclusively for material requirements. The TLC-24, TLC-36, TLC-50 and TLC-75 are tested and certified by NSF/ANSI to Standard 58 for the reduction of arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium (hexavalent), chromium (trivalent), copper, turbidity, fluoride, lead, radium-226/228, selenium or TDS.

Filters and membrane elements must not be installed on water supplies that are not microbiologically safe. TLC membranes are not certified for water disinfection or the removal of cysts, bacteria or viruses. The performance of the filter and membrane element may be affected by fluctuations in water quality.
