2“ x 10” in-line granular activated carbon filter made from coconut shells, with 1/4″ female threaded connections
The coconut shell-based GAC filter effectively absorbs unwanted tastes and odors, such as chlorine, and prevents the passage of fine sediment, rust, dirt, mold, and algae sometimes found in our tap water.
This filter is often used in combination with a sediment filter and a carbon block filter within reverse osmosis systems:
- improves the taste of the water,
- protects the equipment from wear and blockages,
- can be installed horizontally or vertically,
- and it’s easy to replace without any special tools.

Activation
It is recommended to let water flow through the filter at maximum pressure and flow rate for at least 5 minutes before starting to use the machine.
Cartridge Replacement
The cartridge must be replaced when the filter has reached its capacity or when the flow rate becomes too slow (drops below 0.7 bar/10 psi), or just change periodically from 6 to 12 months from installation.
Warning
Do not use where the water is microbiologically hazardous or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection upstream and downstream of the system.
All systems must be maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Note: The contaminants removed or reduced by this system are not necessarily present in your water.
